Ten days ago, we began a donation matching campaign in an effort to raise $50,000 for the American Red Cross to help people in need after the extensive damage caused by Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Hurricane Irma in Florida. Today is the last day to donate.

Please take a moment and donate below so we can get closer to our goal of $25,000, together raising $50,000 for the Red Cross.

You’ve seen our stories about franchisees impacted by the hurricanes over the past few days, and we’d like to share one last story with you. Shelly Godde from Mosquito Squad of Saint Petersburg-Clearwater and Joe Bogdan from Mosquito Squad of Tampa Bay joined forces yesterday to provide complimentary mosquito protection to first responders in North Fort Myers, Florida.
On Sunday, Shelly received a call from Jeff Beaver of Storm Services, LLC, a company that helps support large numbers of workers who are temporarily relocated by providing housing, food, water, and sanitary facilities. They specialize in the design, construction, operation and management of full base camp setups.

Jeff said instead of waiting for Lee County to mobilize their mosquito control workers, he’d rather protect the camp now. The base camp was set up on the fairgrounds of Lee Civic Center in North Fort Myers over the weekend. Their facilities and staff provide housing for first responders and others, like electrical teams and tree cutting professionals who have come from out of state to help. Unfortunately, the devoted laborers have been spending all day in the field working to help the community and returning to the base camp unable to sleep due to the relentless mosquitoes.

Shelly and Joe made the two-hour trip down to North Fort Myers and began treating the tents. It took about two hours to cover the fairgrounds property. They protected the sleeping, laundromat, and shower tents for Storm Services.

Thank you, Shelly and Joe. We applaud your efforts to help those in need.

All Natural Products and Services

All our traditional products are EPA approved and used worldwide. But we know that some customers won’t settle for anything less than 100% green. We completely understand and are proud to provide our customers with the best available, completely green, control solution for mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, and other outdoor pests.

While not as effective as our traditional solution, most residential customers with a moderate pest problem will enjoy a 65–80% reduction in mosquito, tick, and other outdoor pest activity. We treat every 2 weeks to guarantee optimum pest control, resulting in a whole lot less swatting for you!

Our natural solution is blended in-house using only steam distilled essential oils and a surfactant (necessary to blend oils and water). Working to improve our product every year, we take great pride in our blend’s continual improvement.

How it works:

Unlike our more traditional treatment sprays, our all natural solution repels and “jams” incoming mosquitoes and pests. Mosquitoes in particular have the unique ability to detect CO2, octenol, and other pheromones. The residual scent left after an all natural spray treatment acts as both a repellent and odor mask, “jamming” the mosquitoes’ ability to locate targets.

Natural Mosquito Control FAQ’s

Q. Will the smell repel me as well?

A. After we treat, there will be a moderate botanical scent for around 2-4 hours and a very slight smell present for up to 24 hours. Most of our customers are indifferent to it and many enjoy the sweet scent of green!

Q. Is your product effective on more than mosquitoes and ticks?

A. Yes! In addition to mosquitoes and ticks, our natural solution will also help repel and control fleas, chiggers, nats, flies, spiders, certain ants, and other outdoor pests.

Q. What is an essential oil?

A. An essential oil is a concentrated hydrophobic liquid comprised of volatile aroma compounds derived from plants. Ok, Ok so that was a bit dense – more simply they are natural oils taken from plants. Essential oils are commonly used in scented products, soaps, and food flavorings. As delicious as they can be, we select ours for their mosquito repelling properties.

Q. What essential oils do you use?

A. Cedar wood, Lemon Eucalyptus, and Garlic are examples of a few. Lemon Eucalyptus is the only natural topical mosquito repellent recommended by the CDC, with DEET and picardin being the others. As we have worked hard to perfect our natural outdoor pest control, we cannot disclose our complete formula. We do, however, guarantee that all oils are 100% natural.

Q. How do you apply your natural mosquito treatment?

A. We use a professional grade backpack mist blower to treat most homes. Our mist blower produces a finely atomized wet mist that forms an even perimeter of protection. Using a mist blower also allows us to reach the underside of leaves, under decks, and into dense foliage – some of mosquito’s favorite daytime resting sites.
